I liked this, although I'm not sure Doumeki's voice really solidified until the second part of the piece. He's a difficult one for first person -- Watanuki's always talking to himself, so we have a pretty good idea of what the inside of his head is like. Doumeki... well, there's so many possibilities!

I felt a little like he was just figuring out for himself what he was most afraid of. Of what he was most afraid. Whatever. 8^)

I just can't connect with Doumeki for some reason. I do agree he's darn hard to write so I think I'll stick with Watanuki pov or 3rd person from now on. Doumeki just doesn't let anything out at all. Rawr.

this is really good for a doumeki pov. he's so hard to wrap your mind around! i don't think you were ooc at all, not very emotional, but that's the doumeki we know so far. and you were very descriptive.
and yeah, 3rd person is so much easier. but don't try 2nd, it's harder than first.
