Have you seen the TV show Biggest Loser? Well it's a weight loss show and one of the trainers, Jillian Michaels, created a workout that is seriously kicking everyone's butt. She focuses on 3-2-1. Three minutes of strength training, two minutes of cardio, and one minute of abs. It's repeated throughout the 20 minute workout. About 10 more minutes is dedicated to warm-up/cool down. You're supposed to do this EVERY day for 30 days and can supposedly lose up to 20 pounds (but i think that's also if you follow her nutrition plan which is another DVD). There's 3 levels and you're supposed to do Level 1 the first 10 days, Level 2 the 2nd 10, and Level 3 the last 10 days, but people have been mixing them up every few days for a varied workout. The shred is available on DVD at Walmart for under $10 or it's free under Comcast On Demand (that's what I'm using).

i've "been" doing it, but i keep having roadblocks like getting sick and such. plus i have a hard time forcing myself to do it when the husband is home as i feel awkward. but it is a great workout, and i fully plan to get back into it on monday once i have recovered from this current bout of sickness.

it IS a great workout -- I'm so sore today! It almost makes me want to ALREADY take a day off but I'm going to go ahead and push through it. I doubt I'll do it 30 days straight either, but here's to trying :)
and haha about the husband. i doubt i'll be able to do it with my roommates around either. it's hard enough with the damn dog jumping all over me while doing jumping jacks.

I did it 6 days in a row, and then was sick yesterday, and I'm busy today.

I wasn't losing any weight (of course, it's THAT time of the month too, so...) until I weighed myself this morning after my day off, and I had lost 2-2.5 pounds.

I think it's a great workout, and I really feel it working. It's still hard even on the 6th time doing it though. I'm going to continue the full 30 days with it, and hopefully I will have lost 5-10 pounds, or at least look a little more sculpted.

You were doing it ondemand, right? Mine only seems to have like... two "30 day shreds". Does that mean that I don't have ALL of it, or do you just do pretty much the same workout over and over? I am so confused, haha. (Of course, did I actually CLICK on the damn thing and check it out? No, because I was too lazy. :P)

i'm also doing it ondemand. and there's only level one and two. i think they want you to try level 1 and 2 which will make you want the dvd to try level 3. but i heard level 3 is not much more difficult than L2. so i think i'm just going to rotate between the first 2 so it won't be the same over and over.

My ondemand has all three! I am through Time Warner and not Comcast though, maybe they have different deals? I have been doing all level 1 though, because I don't think I can take levels 2 or 3 yet. Wednesday when I did it though, I muted it and played dance music because I was sick of listening to her trying to inspire me into working hard!

It's pretty cheap to buy the DVD if you don't want to do the same level over and over. I like actually mastering the exercises though, so repeating the same workout works for me.
