Every time that I went to make an entry, I stopped leaving it half finished. I have about five of them on my desktop. I usually cut and paste entries to my journal. I think that things have blown over and even if they have not entirely, I am no longer allowing myself to be the butt or to wallow unduly. Over it. Family has been bonkers these past ( Read more... )

So glad you got those three days...makes going back to crazy that much worse, though. MEH.

Love that double-decker!! I've always preferred the older transits. They've got style!

Hope this weekend is a better set of days, honey.

*Cuddles you*

(also, also - Bill is adorable!!(

Definitely! I would still not give those days up though, even for going back to crazy. They were invaluable!

The weekend was loads better!
Hope your situation isn't too insane either. ;D

That London bus is bizarre!

I've ready Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell. I enjoyed it although I don't really get on with massive books like that that are full of description. I've not seen the BBC adaptation but they're usually pretty good at adapting books.

Yes. It's from circa 1948-50, that bus.We have far newer ones also buzzing about. It definitely looks interesting cruising down the road..completely out of its element...

I love when cats sit like that!

I haven't read the book, but I will add it to my unending list of Things to Read.

It is crazily long! But soooooo much fun. You can just soak in it for weeks.

Bill poses quite a bit.

Most excellent and unexpected photos! Was not expecting the London bus, or the theoretical bears.

I don't normally watch telly, but I watched the first episode of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell on the iplayer. It's definitely a visual treat. Not sure if it will manage to capture the spirit of the book...

Heehee. Theoretical bears. <3

Folks are saying that they do not like how the Gentleman is being portrayed. He looks more menacing and less cracked out. One of things that I loved about the book was how campily enthusiastic he would get around Stephen. And Lady Pole looks a lot more actively disturbed whereas in the book she sort of sat in despondent elegance for years. I realize though that they have to adjust things to satisfactorily abridge it without dampening the feel of the book too much. The sorts of stillnesses that crop up in the book would probably translate weirdly. All those footnotes too!!
