Through the Never:

I feel that I have too many people on my friend's list. If you are interested in reading this, and staying on my list, then please leave a comment. If you do not leave a comment and you aren't interested, then I will take you off for the sake of the clutter on my friend's page ( Read more... )

If you need to delete journals from your friends' list in order to simplify things, I certainly understand. Those that you've recently put on, though, give them a chance, before you remove them. They just may be a great addition. I would definitely like to remain on your friends' list, but mine are not the wishes you should first consider.

Oh, and what might actually help sort things out without resorting to deleting people from the list would be to set up Friends filters, so you can read just specific people instead of the entire list the entire time. For example, I created a filters so that I can read just my close friends, or just communities, or all friends (no communities), all friends except for a couple people, etc. It's a bit more time consuming to view these friends lists instead of the main un-filtered one (you have to click on a couple more links), but it's very useful and can save a lot of time in the long run if you're just concentrating on certain people. To set it up, just click on the elipse (...) next to Friends under Your Journal on the left side of the main menu. Hope this helps some.

Can't you only do that with a paid account?

Nope. I've got a free account and I can do it just fine. There might be a higher limit to the number of filters you can do on a paid account (I don't know for sure), but I know for sure that you can do at least 4 with a free account.
