Rhode didn't blame Axel for being quiet. Even during scouting there had been something innocuously otherworldly about Big Momma's nesting grounds. The girl had been cognizant of that much, looking at the forest from the museum, taking in every tiny tree and pond.

It was different on the ground floor. Rhode imagined herself a wary explorer; if anything the mental image kept the edge of anxiety off. She wasn't frightened - nothing had frightened her yet in this world, crabs or monsters or no - and for the most part, she was glad for the chance to cause harm. She was never one to deny her bloodlust.

Part of her was excited to see all the fire and glory which would go along with attacking Big Momma. She watched Axel in admiration, wondering just how much brimstone was hidden behind that thin form. Against the haze of early morning she envisioned him a warrior. A warrior with firearms. Even better

The inside of the park seemed like the exact opposite of the city around it...wild, full of untamed plantlife and greenery. There had once been buildings inside the park, but they were long covered in overgrowth...at least where there weren't massive holes in the ground.

Sora had agreed to go along on this mission because he felt he had to do something about this monster, and this was a plan and it was better than nothing. But by this point, the nagging feeling in the back of his mind had reached a point where it was near impossible to avoid. What if we weren't meant to? This isn't a Heartless, this isn't a Nobody, no one knows what it really is...

Maybe it's all for nothing...He shook away the thought quickly. He had absolutely hated that sinking realization back in Hollow Bastion, and he never wanted to feel it again. Not here, not now. The fact of the matter was that it was too late to back out now. So he went along primarily to guard those carrying the

Kairi had originally gathered in much of the same way as before, only she was with Sora - who still probably highly disagreed about the whole thing, but she shrugged it off. She was more prepared this time around; Riku had gotten through with teaching her some fighting moves the previous week, although they were using nerf swords.

Kairi wasn't even carrying a sword; instead, while searching through the museum, she had picked up a double-sided halberd. Which was a bit awkward, and not at really what Riku had worked with her with, but she had played around and practiced with it since, preparing for... well... today.

She thought if the worst happened, she could protect herself. Even... maybe even protect Sora.
She glanced at Sora, then elbowed him in the side, offering him a small smile.

"Alright, sounds good," she replied to Axel, and cringed a bit to Rhode's comment. Well, excitement was one way to go about this...
