Had an interesting idea the other day after a weird dream. A special edition Nintendo Wii built to look like a classic NES console. You'd lift the lid to reveal the disc slot, and other than modern ports in the back for current TV setups, it would be made so you couldn't tell the difference from the front. You know, if I had the tools to carve up an NES, and a spare NES I could actually do this. I've the equipment to fully disassemble the Wii! I doubt it would be that hard. Although I don't have the know-how to wire up a classic controller directly to the wii it wouldn't be terribly hard to redirect the Gamecube ports to the front for that purpose, since you can use a gamecube controller for most VC games. I wonder if my dad would let me borrow his dremel tools for something like this...
