I needed to use darker colors to works with the lines, and once I described what I was going for to my (new) artist, he said a definite yes to what I'm going for.
And I don't think it would've been rude to ask. Better that than having every single new person you meet asking you to pull down your shirt so they can play guessing games.
The weirdest one I got was an upside down flag.

you should just get a bra tattooed to your chest too so you don't have to wear one!

no you don't have to go over the nips. just make it the same color so it blends in and you won't be able to see it anymore.
