Interesting... *smiles*

Trade you. Publishers if you don't have a copy of Writer's Market for what could cause recurrant flu-like symptoms (once for three or four days every four to six weeks) and painful/swollen lymph nodes. Other than flu. Because the boy has decided it's not just a bad flu season.

Me, I think it's a bad flu season. Or an autoimmune disorder.

Cyclic? *thinks* Any relation to your schedule that you can see?
When did it start?

Started with the flu season, and I'd have to go back through journal entries to see. The last bout was... hmm. Shortly before *I* got sick with strep, which was on my last pill pack, which was. Five weeks ago. No relation to the schedule as far as I can tell. Our schedule hasn't changed much lately at all. The last two bouts, five weeks ago (six at the start, it lasted for a week) and this one were the most severe.

*wry* He asked me to look up sinusitis last night, but as far as I saw on WebMD sinusitis doesn't recur, it just continues. And it didn't list painful/swollen lymph nodes as a symptom. Asked a couple other people, none of us have any clue. Silly brat wouldn't call the doctor for an appointment till today. When the doctor isn't there. He's seeing my doctor instead.

Immunodeficiency's a possible suspect, after that--some forms of STDs or malignancy.(no slur intended, hon, so please don't bite!) The swollen lymph nodes point to a local or systemic infection. And it's worsening with recurrence? Could also be he's picked up a bug that's gone antibiotic-resistant. Sometimes the abx just drive infections underground instead of getting rid of 'em--and I'd wonder with recurrences, if it's flu or viral, if he's coming into contact with someone who's carrying it.
Short answer: get his ass to a doctor.
