1) I can string together (at least mostly) coherent sentences in Russian. I've never taken a spoken language for this long, and I find it thrilling

Yeah...the whole "trusting in God" thing supposedly works. i hear it changes people's lives around...helps them figure life's shit out. it's an intriguing idea...
