Character name: Lord Wolf O'Donnell
Fandom: Starfox
Timeline: The end of Starfox Assault
Age: 24 (assumed)
~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths: Wolf is a skilled pilot, being able to fly a Wolfen without any trouble. He is also a skilled Marksmen and Fighter. He has great charisma and knows how to use it as well. Also, he's a lady killer in his own right. XD
How would they use their abilities?: Wolf would use his abilities to accomplish missions and try to build a new Starwolf unit in Thor. For Wolf, it's about making money and surviving.
Appearance: Wolf is male and stands at 6' 2''. He has thick grey fur over most of this body with white fur on the top of his head, under his arms, on his muzzle, and in other private areas. He is an anthropomorphic Wolf, having sharp black claws, sharp teeth, a tail, and even a wet nose. He wears a cybernetic eye-patch over his left eye, which is presumed to be missing. His right eye is purple in color and functions perfectly fine without the other eye. Wolf often wears darker colors and a lot of leather for protection in fights.
Background/Personality: Not much is known about Wolf O'Donnell before his appearance as Leader of the Mercenary force known as Starwolf. What is known is his team and the Starfox team have a long standing rivalry with one another. It is also heavily implied that Wolf had a hand in Jame McCloud's death, who was the Father of Fox McCloud.
[The following is my headcanon and I will indicate where it ends for the early events in Wolf's life.]
Wolf O'Donnell originally was not a mercenary however. When he was 18, he joined the Lylat Academy and began to train to become a member of the Lylat Armada. During his training and education, he caught the eye James McCloud, the leader of the original Starfox unit. James considered recruiting Wolf and taking him under his wing, so to speak. The young Wolf was excited to be chosen to become part of Starfox, but his fellow cadets were not. One night, they invited him to a “party” to congratulate him on his possible recruitment. It was there that they attacked him and during the fight, Wolf lost his eye due to one of the other cadets shoving a piece of glass in Wolf's eye.
Because James and the other Starfox members took him to the party and left him alone with the cadets, he blamed James for the loss of his eye. He didn't file anything on the incident and dropped out of the academy. That was when he was approached by Pigma, who told Wolf he was planning on betraying James and that it was James' idea to take Wolf to the party when Pigma had advises against it. This was a lie of course, but Wolf in his anger joined Pigma and the two lured James into a trap on Venom when he was sent to investigate Andross's apparent activity. Pigma, Wolf, Leon, and Andross's nephew Andrew ambushed James and he was killed. All of these events transformed Wolf from the light hearted cadet he was into the merciless mercenary he was in the Lylat Wars. His anger and rage controlled most of his actions, motivating him to be malicious in all of his actions and brought about his hate for Fox McCloud. With James dead and his anger only growing worse, he turned his hatred onto Fox and used it at as a justification for his want to destroy Fox and the newly formed Starfox team.
It was then Wolf convinced the other three to join him and create a team of mercenaries and they could call themselves Starwolf. And so, Starwolf was born. It was later when Fox McCloud revived the Starfox team that Wolf decided to take down the new team. The fight didn't go in his favor and a great rivalry was born.
[End of headcanon.]
Once Andross made his reappearance from the world of Venom and attacked the Lylat System, he hired Starwolf to hunt down and destroy the Starfox team. Wolf, of course, jumped at the opportunity to destroy his long standing rival and took the job. The two teams did battle twice during the Starfox team's mission to reach Venom and take down Andross once and for all. In both dog fights, Wolf and his team were defeated but they were able to escape with their lives.
Once the Lylat War came to an end with the death of Andross, Wolf gained a new respect for Fox McCloud, even though he still wishes to defeat his rival. For the subsequent years after the war, the two teams competed more in business than in actual battle. Starwolf were known for getting results and didn't have the moral boundaries that the Starfox team has. Wolf was able to build up Starwolf to the extent he was able to gain his own region of space and gain the title of Lord. He now calls a space station his home, which he has made sure to fill with criminals and other lackeys to do his work for him when a mission doesn't require the force of his main team. It was during this down period that Wolf's rage slowly ebbed away. He came to realize that he could not hang onto his rage against James forever and left it behind him to concentrate on his future. This diminished his malevolence and anger, giving him more of a hard exterior but allowing his more kind side to shine through yet again.
Starwolf has gone through other changes as well. Pigma, one of the original Starwolf members as well as an original Starfox member grew too greedy for Wolf's taste. He and Leon kicked Pigma out of the group and gained a new member, a lady killer/womanizing man panther named Panther. They also lost their fourth teammate, Andrew, who was Andross' nephew. Andrew sought to reclaim the Lylat system in the name of his dead Uncle, only to be killed during the initial Aparoid invasion strike. Starwolf ran into Starfox again when the Starfox team went to the Sargasso Space Zone looking for Pigma. Starwolf returned to find Fox had invaded Wolf's space station and the two teams fought. Starfox came out victorious and it was then Wolf let Fox know that they kicked Pigma out a long time ago and if he had come back, his thugs would have chased him out.
Because the Aparoids threatened the entire system Wolf decided to put aside his grudge with Fox and work with him. When Fox was ambushed by Aparoids on top of the Persimmon's Building in Corneria City, Wolf flew in to rescue him. Once the two fought off the Aparoids, Wolf claimed he didn't do it to save Fox but instead Fox just happened to jump on his wing. He later says if he did save Fox, it was so he could kill him himself later. Leon and Panther obvious don't believe this as they comment on it to each other. It was then Wolf gave Fox a valuable piece of advice. He told him: “Don't hesitate. When the time comes, just act.” That one line would be what helped Fox destroy the Aparoid Queen. This event showed that Wolf had become kinder with time and though he still wishes to prove his team is better than Fox's, he does not wish Fox dead. He respects Fox, even if it is begrudgingly at times. It also shows that Wolf can see the greater good and put aside personal vendettas and other matters and work with people he even claims to hate to for that greater good.
The two teams met up again during their invasion of the Aparoid Homeworld. Wolf and his team lured away a group of strong Aparoids so that Fox and his team could get to the Queen. It was presumed they had died, but Fox was sure they had survived.

1st person sample:
[The camera comes on to show a very agitated Wolf O'Donnell staring into the screen. He is breathing heavily through his nose and when he speaks, there is a hint of bark in it.]
I'm not much for reading a book I'm given after being kidnapped. DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?! I AM LORD WOLF O'DONNELL! I demand to know where I am and how the fuck I got here! And where is my Wolfen?! Someone better answer this soon or I'm going to march out into that hallway and beat the answers out of the first person I find.
...I'm waiting.
[And the video feed cuts out.]
3rd person sample:
Wolf would admit, he had a lot of strange things happen to him during his lifetime. He had his eye gouged out, he killed his mentor, he was in a neverending rivalry with the son of his dead mentor. But this was one of the strangest things to happen. Not only had his Space Station been destroyed but he was now stuck on this damn ship with nothing but his clothes, a towel, a book, and a cabin for him. Sure, it was a nice towel, but that didn't mean shit. Everything he had built back home...everything he had worked for was gone. All in the span of him falling asleep at night and walking up the next day. That was a kick to the groin.
He sighed and leaned back against the chair he sat in and stared up at the ceiling with his good eye. And of course, to make it ALL the better, McCloud was here too. The only two survivors of the Lylat System being destroyed JUST had to be the two of them. He got a chuckle out of it though. Turned out their rivalry was neverending. Well, he'd have to work hard to get a better paying job than Fox, and he'd do it. No sense in letting go of the rivalry now. It gave him something to focus on. And that was needed, now more than ever.
