In-Character Information
Name : Wolf O'Donnell
Game/Series: Starfox
Canon Point: At the very end of Starfox Assault
Age & Grade Level: 17, Junior
Character personality- Lord Wolf O'Donnell has pretty much three different aspects to his personality. He has the side of him reserved for enemies, the side reserved for business, and the side that only members of Starwolf has ever seen.
The Wolf O'Donnell that most hear about is the side he shows his enemies. He is a ruthless fighter and takes great pleasure in the hunt. When fighting an enemy, Wolf will take pleasure in taunting his opponent, trying to provoke anger and with it mistakes. Once he finds an opening, he will strike his opponent and deal with them accordingly. He is also prideful himself in fights, often boasting about how he is better than his opponent and attacking their self-esteem with his ego. This doesn't always work but he does enjoy some of the reactions it has gotten him over the years. While on missions, Wolf has a very loose moral code but he does have one. Certain things he will refuse to do, no matter the amount of money offered to him.
Wolf's more business side is a far more relaxed and laid back Wolf. He takes things in stride and keeps his ego under check. He knows the importance of haggling and will use his charisma to get the best possible price for any mission. He is also respectful, taking into account his client's culture and place of origin. He knows if he can get on their good side, they are more likely to pay him and his crew well. He isn't completely against inflating someone's ego, but he also isn't about to kiss ass to get a mission. He knows if the person comes to him, they don't want to get their hands dirty and will use that to his advantage. He is a fine businessman and he knows how to sell his services.
Finally, the aspect of Wolf's personality many have never seen and lived to tell the tale. Wolf is many things but he is not heartless. He cares for his team and their wellbeing. He may come off as cold sometimes, like telling Panther he talks too much when he tries to flirt with females. In truth, he wants his crew happy and safe. He will do almost anything to make sure those who are loyal to him have everything they need. He is also extremely loyal to his trusted allies. Due to his past, he does not take betrayal lightly and despises traitors of any kind. His own loyalties may be bought but his first and foremost loyalty belongs to Starwolf itself.
Wolf likes few things and dislikes many. He enjoys challenging battles and, of course, winning. Money is a large motivator for him but he knows when to ignore his usual self-serving tendencies for the greater good. He enjoys new weapons and trying them out, on Starfox members especially. He also enjoys whiskey when he is upset and brandy when he is celebrating.
He does not like to lose and hates being talked down too. He has a big enough ego that insulting his skills or his team can lead to him getting very angry. He once hated Fox McCloud, though now that hatred has morphed into a more begrudging respect. Weakness is his top irritant. To see someone complaining of weakness and doing nothing about it or to claim they are better than they are infuriate him. And an angry Wolf is not above putting someone in their place, especially when that place is under his boot.
Backstory: Not much is known about Wolf O'Donnell before his appearance as Leader of the Mercenary force known as Starwolf. What is known is his team and the Starfox team have a long standing rivalry with one another. It is also heavily implied that Wolf had a hand in James McCloud's death, who was the Father of Fox McCloud.
Once Andross made his reappearance from the world of Venom and attacked the Lylat System, he hired Starwolf to hunt down and destroy the Starfox team. Wolf jumped at the opportunity to destroy his long standing rival and took the job. The two teams did battle twice during the Starfox team's mission to reach Venom and take down Andross once and for all. In both dog fights, Wolf and his team were defeated but they were able to escape with their lives.
Once the Lylat War came to an end with the death of Andross, Wolf gained a new respect for Fox McCloud, even though he still wished to defeat his rival once and for all. For the subsequent years after the war, the two teams competed more in business sense than in actual battle. Starwolf was known for getting results and didn't have the moral boundaries that the Starfox team had. Wolf was able to build up Starwolf to the extent he was able to gain his own region of space and gain the title of Lord. He also gained a space station as his new home, which he has made sure to fill with criminals and other lackeys to do his work for him when a mission doesn't require the force of his main team.
Starwolf has gone through other changes as well. Pigma, one of the original Starwolf members, as well as an original Starfox member, grew too greedy for Wolf's taste. He and Leon kicked Pigma out of the group and gained a new member, a lady killer/womanizing male panther named Panther. They also lost their fourth teammate, Andrew, Andross' nephew. Andrew sought to reclaim the Lylat system in the name of his dead Uncle, only to be killed during the initial Aparoid assault on the system.
Starwolf ran into Starfox again when the Starfox team went to the Sargasso Space Zone looking for Pigma. Starwolf returned to find Fox had invaded Wolf's space station and the two teams fought. Starfox came out victorious and it was then Wolf informed Fox that they kicked Pigma out a long time ago and if he had come back, his thugs would have chased him out.
Because the Aparoids threatened the entire system, Wolf decided to put aside his grudge with Fox and work with him. When Fox was ambushed by Aparoids on top of the Persimmon's Building in Corneria City, Wolf flew in to rescue him. Once the two fought off the Aparoids, Wolf claimed he didn't do it to save Fox but instead Fox just happened to jump on his wing. He later says if he did save Fox, it was so he could kill him himself later. Leon and Panther obvious don't believe this as they comment on it to each other. It was then Wolf gave Fox a valuable piece of advice. He told him: “Don't hesitate. When the time comes, just act.” That one line would be what helped Fox destroy the Aparoid Queen.
The two teams met up again during their invasion of the Aparoid Homeworld. Wolf and his team lured away a group of strong Aparoids so that Fox and his team could reach the Queen. It was presumed they had died, but Fox was sure they had survived.
Sometime later, Wolf received an invitation to join the Super Smash Tournament as a contender for it's third meeting. Wolf decided to join the tournament but arrived late, just after the incident with Tabuu. He knows of the tournament and the contenders, but fell into one of the dimensional doors during a match and appeared in front of the Smash Academy, which is how he came to arrive there.
Anything Else?: I would go into Starfox Command, but I honestly haven't played the game and I don't like to use info for a character unless I play the game or watch the show for myself. So...yeah.

[Accidental Audio post.]
[A loud thud is heard, which is followed by coughing. A man grumbles as movement can be heard and then a surprised gasp.]
What the hell?! Were am I?!
[The shuffling of feet on the ground can be heard as well as an angry snarl.]
What the hell is going on? This isn't the damn Summit. ...Wait. What is this thing?
[And whoever this is, just found the device that was recording his voice.]
It's a communication device. And it's on. Alright then. Let me see...
[With some tinkering, the screen comes on and everyone can now see the face of Lord Wolf O'Donnell.]
Alright. I want answers and I want them now. Where the hell am I?
In-Character 3rd person writing post:
Wolf walked down the hallway, a scowl set on his lupine face. He was pissed and it was obvious. He was stuck here in this “school”, unable to go anywhere, and forced to attend classes he had no point in going to. He'd skip if it were not for the simple fact he didn't feel like dealing with the Headmaster more than he had to. He let out a sigh as he rounded the corner and walked into his English class. Sure, the main emphasis of the school was teaching them how to fight, but he already knew that much! This entire thing was crap.
But there was a bright side to it all. He got to kick ass and take names, all for a grade. Getting the chance to beat the ever loving shit out of other students was the one thing he looked forward to in his day. Sure, it wasn't much but it was a simple pleasure. If he could find some people here he didn't completely hate, he could perhaps start up an on-campus Starwolf team. Bullies for hire. That didn't sound too bad. Maybe there was hope for this place yet. Maybe.
