I made the decision on the fly yesterday to get my hair cut since I found inexpensive henna at Sunflower Market whilst out and about with my lovely
kvancelot and dear Larry. It was quite an experiment, but thanks to Karen, I think it turned out well.
I'm scared of the camera, as you can see. I thought it would steal my soul. Also, this is my hair lookin' like trash.
Ah, so now that I'm soulless, I'm much happier. Also, my hair's been cut, so I'm feeling much better about life.
...or at least I was until something pooped on my head. A least I can laugh about it.
Just a note to myself for the future, I used four ounces of Rainbow Research henna in Copper, chamomile tea, and a little olive oil. Karen did the rest :)
I have since regained my soul (maybe because of the poop smeared on my head), so I'm afraid of the camera again, but at least my hair turned out! It's a lovely copper color (go figure!), and it feels really soft and healthy. Additionally, the processing was really easy after Karen smeared it on. I sat for about two hours with plastic wrap, a shower cap, and a towel on my head to get to this color, and I think it was two hours well-spent (especially considering the henna only cost about five dollars!).
So as far as hair experiments go, I'd say this one went well! Hooray!
Also, to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, Karen and I made dozens of paper shamrocks and combined them with the hearts and butterflies we'd already made for Valentine's Day to make something so bright and so vivid for our wall. That's right:
double rainbow!
