I also need to talk to you about something--a little collaborative work between you and me, if you're interested, regarding that book I wrote about Skunky being lost all those years ago. Drop me a line at hibousoir@yahoo.com.
And congrats on your secret job! Aren't those GREAT? I love nice secrets . . .

WELL, I was thinking that your construction paper drawings would make PERFECT illustrations for the story: they're colorful, they're totally unique, they're absolutely adorable, it's just plain old great art . . . and it can be appreciated by children and art-appreciative adults alike.
I'm thinking that the two of us could sit down with the story (which I did stick figure drawings for originally, so you should get a kick out of that, ha, ha!) and storyboard it out, and then we could digitally photograph your illustrations, then I could piece it together on a computer, have a bunch of copies printed and bound under our own publishing house that we'll have created just for this occasion, and then we could shop it around ourselves to bookstores and the like. Profits--if there are any--we'll split down the middle, 50-50.
What say you? Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? I'm open. :)
Holy shit!!!! YES!!!! Philip Seymour Hoffman is my GOD!@!! And Katherine Keener too!!! I am getting faint just thinking about it!!!
....
Ya know, now that I think about it, both biographies I checked out are about people who are gonna have movies made about 'em!!! (Walk The Line & CApote...craaaaazy....)
I don't know what city you're in, but Redlands has a plethora of Victorian homes you might be able to utilise--the Morey Mansion, Kimberly Crest, Edwards Mansion. I would also check with the Redlands Home and Garden Club (or is it Society?) and see if they have people on their list who would be willing to open their homes to you. You might also try--what is it?--Old Town Pasadena. I would suggest calling the Chamber of Commerce in cities blessed with an abundance of these old abodes and see if they can help you make the appropriate contacts. Good Luck!
I almost purchased a Buster Keaton biography yesterday, but then decided I should probably try to read through the mountain of books that I already have before buying any more new ones.
