So, I thought it would be possibly fun to check out an internet dating site. I go to lavalife.com, input a profile, and type in my search criteria. My list of guys pops up (7 men), and I know the guy in one of the photos! I did a production of Cinderella with him when I was about 14 years old, way back in the NH. He was a pompous, untalented

Don't write it off just yet, Em. I used the Onion's personals site for a long time (it's really one big dating network linked from a lot of "liberal" sites), and had quite a few interesting dates from it.

Now, granted, the girl who I'm seeing now posted an ad on craigslist, and that's how I met her, but none of the *really* bad dates that I had started from the personals site...they were all girls I met at bars or on the street.

I'm not sure what that says, but if you find a system that seems to work, go for it.
