The Talmud discusses the idea that if you save one person's life, you save the world. Shindler's List took this quote and ran with it, so I don't have to explain it too much.
I was thinking about fics to write and after delving back into Miroku/Sango with "Philter" a little while back, I wanted to drabble about them some more. So I thought it would be cute if they had an almost-meeting back when they were younger. I liked the scenario of Miroku seeing Sango and being so impressed with her that he immediately marks her as someone different and strong.
But I also had to make him almost immediately forget her, too. So that's how this fic took shape. It fits nicely with
luxken27's summer mini challenge prompt "boldly."
I am not 100% happy with it. It was so much smoother in my head to talk about everything, but I've decided I've done my best. And, honestly, the hardest part about this was giving it a title. I finally just took the most pretentious word from the first line of the fic and let it be.
Also, as I've written it, the "she's going to save the world" has given me quite the tune stuck in my head. It's Chris Cornell's "Can't Change Me." I'm including it below. Enjoy!
