Most of my area was treated today to something I can't remember seeing in my time in Alabama--a White Christmas. I got this pic from the Al.com website. The snow wasn't quite as heavy at my brother's but was still beautiful and enough to cover cars and trees and decks and yards. Merry Christmas to you too! It was a once-in-a-lifetime event for us. I hope, in spite of everything, you were able to have a Merry Christmas too! *hugs*

Very beautiful. Funny thing is that, with snow on the ground, the outdoors don't seem as cold, as opposed to having frozen dead grass and high winds blowing. Of course, I'm speaking as someone who lives in a northern climate.

You would no doubt find us a bunch of sissies down here the way we carry on when it gets cold and snows--it's amazing how quickly I de-acclimated from Ohio weather once I moved south, now I shiver along with the rest of the natives lol !

My aunt and uncle moved to Florida from Dearborn, MI in the early 1980's. Now, they are sensitized to the subtle weather changes there. My brother moved to the Orlando area five years ago and complains about the cold weather every time he comes up here to visit his kids. Mom usually gives him the "honor" of clearing our driveway in the wintertime. :)
