Anyone know of a mythology book designed for children?  I have started telling Talking Raccoon some Norse stories and he is eating them up, demanding more information.  I looked on Barnes and Noble's site, but everything was geared toward adults.....

Okay this isn't what some would call mythology BUT there's always The Hobbit!

Remember the author was after the creation of a mythology for England. Plus it's a fun book for children and you could explain the sometimes archaic language to the boy.

You can also try here...

Saw a few books apparently aimed at children so some of these might do the trick.

Hope that helps.

Here is a good website for looking at children's mythology and folklore books:

As far as specifically Norse mythology I have not seen anything in particular.
