Even if it is difficult, I think you've done a great job so far! One factoid I remember learning about Swahili is that it has no irregular verbs. Whereas English has more than any other language in the world (283 is the number I believe). So, without those irregular verbs, there's got to be some catch :P Despite my conspiracy language theory, it's beautiful written and I imagine it's fun to speak with all those cool syllables. Keep on with it!
The verbs being regular is very wonderful. It's the nouns that get me -- there are so many freaking noun classes, and in order to accord verbs and adjectives properly to your nouns, you always have to remember which one they're in. And some of them are so random! But I'm workin on it, anyway... It is a really cool language, so I'm glad I'm learning it, if slowly.
Mind if I friend you? Ninajaribu kiswahili too, although I am very bad. Though proud that I can understand quite a bit of what you have written here. Also I love the title of your journal.
Sure! I don't post in Kiswahili more often, but I really should try to do so more for practice. Having someone else around who is learning Kiswahili might just be the encouragement I need :)
