website help

Is anyone here able and willing, or know someone who is able and willing, to design a website for free or next-to-free?

It would be for the African branch of the Indigenous Peoples' Network for Change, and it would be something along these lines (i.e. text and photo heavy, with a space to put publications).

My friend Dave has done some stuff for me in the past, for groups I've been involved with, either for free or for an exchange of services (I got him onto a first aid course for free and he designed a site for the St John Ambulance group I worked with at the time). I'm not sure what his rates are like, but for a non-profit group he's usually pretty willing to strike a deal.

His website is: http://www.heppenstall.ca/

(Drop my name, and mention that you're going to be going to Guelph in the fall ;) That might help )

look at "wordpress". Its a content management system. There are lots of free "themes" you can use, making the site look instantly like something.

Then they can also maintain it themselves without needing to be HTML people.
