Depressing song of my life ATM: Jess Lee's "Suffering". The edited video is 6ish mins long and I hope you aren't creeped out too much by it /o/
But it's basically been on repeat for weeks. I'm thinking of drawing on my face with black markers. It's also not in English :\ google the lyrics tho!
It's just a ballad but idk I like it D:
Englishy things off the top of my head: chiodos - intensity in ten cities; Jimmy eat world - drugs or me: anberlin - haunting; MCR - cancer; 30STM - alibi....Those are pm my go to songs for the feelings :\
D: but don't draw on your pretty face with markers.
but thanks, i have to go an listen to them all now. Pretty excited about the ones you listed there at the end and I'm sort of weirdly excited to see what they sound like. and pffft who needs English. I think the first song that made my heart stop was by C.N. Blue. Those are the best ones tbh, the ones that you don't have to understand to feel.
And yeah ive got a shit ton of depressing music, no two songs are quite the same in how they're portrayed, and I have many in different languages! Keke. Lemme know If those don't work out, I have instrumentals and stuff to :P
I had this thing back then where I hated on almost all the girls I saw on TV. I completely know how you feel. I still have this. I just don't like female characters. And even when I write I try to avoid making a female characters >.>" I don't know why (well, maybe because they're not that awesome)
Does anyone have any good music? About the music. Again, I know how you feel. I love listening to some dark or sad music before/when I write. I like dark stuff and I'd love to write some dark novel (so many plots ;; ). When I try to set a mood most of the time I listen to dark ambient. Or some movie soundtracks. (dunno, stuff like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMoCbXIDJ7k&feature=related )
I mean, if they were less annoying I would be okay with it. All the ones that start of awesome, always end up hiding behind a guy or doing something stupid that makes me want to punch them in the face orz. idk it's a thing. I'm pretty sure one day there will be someone awesome that I can love on TV.
I like the sort of heavy feeling in my chest when I find something good. It makes writing so much better, like you can just take the music and pour it onto the paper and it just bleeds all these feelings at you. I don't think I've ever tried to write anything, dark in my novels. But i should give it a try. I bet it would be a lot easier to do than what I am trying now D:
dude, it's been a crazy few days. I got into this novel again and I opened the doc and saw the bits I had and hated them all so I opened the other unfinished ones I had and hated all those too. I ended up staying awake last night to rewrite my characters and i scrapped everything and mixed plots together. My room is a mess. I have character profiles on my wall, flow charts connecting characters and everything.
I didn't even listen to the music I found, just turned on Itunes to drown out the noise from outside and went for it. I'm taking it slow from now on though, have a test tomorrow, so I'm going to settle for 1,000 words a days until the weekend.
