OH MY GOD, THAT WAS FUCKING BRILLIANT!

Grey's Anatomy, eat your cliched, melodramatic heart out. I'm like having repeated, self-induced SPN thoughtgasms over here, I AM A HUGE NERD AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Oh, man, I wish K was still watching because she'd write up one hell of a review of this, she really would. This episode was like an onion; the same message kind of drilled in on multiple levels. So much to say, but I'll post that tomorrow. For now, just my tiny kind of play-by-play, since I had the power of pause:

  • That long-suffering look on Bobby’s face when Dean started saying "why me?" OH GOD I LOVE YOU BOBBY!

  • SWEET! Clear screencaps of Ruby. I AM ALL OVER THOSE!

  • Ruby parallels Dean again in her reaction to Castiel. More on this later, man I could write an entire META on JUST THIS. God, the way they're written in relation to each other just blows me the fuck away.

  • Awww...Sammy's driving and Dean’s asleep. For some reason, I find this so adorable, it's such a role-reversal.

  • I love that when Sam's drawing the tattoo-thing you get that shot of him with pencil in hand against Dean in the background, gun in hand. Pen vs. the sword; thoughtful passivity vs. blunt action. I'M A NERD DEAL WITH IT.

  • "You gonna shoot, shoot. Don’t talk." I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE, BOBBY! Way to sum up the whole episode in like six words while I take two pages.

  • "you alright?" "NO!"

  • God, Jensen has beautiful eyelashes. Sorry, he was sleeping and they like fluttered against his cheek as he woke up and I kind of couldn't breathe for a moment. Clearly the most important part of the scene.

  • I love that Dean won't take the threat of being sent back to hell from a demon but he will take it from Castiel, despite what Castiel's said about it being God's will. There's like this very active evil up against this very passive good; at some point, you do have to take the offensive, and maybe that's where Dean comes in since that's what he's been doing his whole life. Again, I think that goes back to the entire theme of the episode. As everything does. I guess because the idea is so simple. There is a try; in trying you inherently do, but in doing no success is guaranteed, so all there ever is is 'try', all of life is trying to different degrees.

Did I mention I LOVE THIS EPISODE LIKE LINDSAY LOVES FAKE TANNING? BECAUSE I DID!
