So, I joined the 10k_drabbles community today and, luck of luck, I got my first rare parings choice, Draco/Neville. There definitely isn't enough Draco/Neville around. I've only actually ever found one, and it was just a PWP, so I was kind of like, um, no. Sometimes I like a plot, especially when it's not a common pairing. Why would Draco end up with Neville? I don't want to have to come up with the backstory myself. That's why I'm reading it instead of writing it, haha.

Yeah, see, that's the issue. And in 100 words, too. What they have is really nice but it takes a good author to bring it out and one who really has command of the characters. Also, people give you strange looks when you say you ship it. >.> Hope this goes alright.

You can find some more Neville/Draco stuff here on the manifesto if you're interested. Plus, the manifesto itself is awesome stuff. Although, AJ Hall had some really, really good thoughts on it, too. She's pulled her LJ, but I've got them in word and I could send them to you if you'd like. I don't think she'd mind. And also, there's the Lust Over Pendle saga which she also wrote and which is really long but pretty good reading.

Thank you! I've been looking for more stories, but it seems like I can't find it in the archives I'm familiar with. I'll check it out tonight (since I'm at work now, and can't read slash, haha).

Okay, that drabble community is officially worrying. The idea is pretty sound, and quite a good one, as it should get a helluva lot of different people from fandom in if it takes off. But what's bothering me? Some of the characters they've included.

Yeah, that's just gonna lead to some fucked-up stories. I admit in HP you can't really stick to human characters, since so many are other species, but at least stick with the humanOID ones I'd have said. As in no bestiality. Geuh.
