You should see my room. It's a--fuck I HATE ENGLISH I CAN NEVER FIND THE RIGHT WORDS IN ENGLISH--smorgasborg of junk. Also, Firefox thinks that word should be "orgasming."
Also, because I ask everyone about these things: why, exactly, do you want to switch out of art school? Is it because of art school in general, your particular major, that particular school...?
...and if you ask me, art is more plausible than English. In the words of Avenue Q, "what do I do with a BA in English?"
There's a lot of things wrong with the school. I'm paying out my ass for just the tuition when the school gives us nothing like the other school out there. No meal plans, no housing, it's really ridiculous when I can go to a better school for less and get more. Not to mention barely any of the teachers are competent enough.
Aside from the schools issues, Mine are that, it's really really competitive, and even though I feel strongly about art, animation is a field I don't think I'm suited for. The people here are so far above me it makes me wonder what I'm even doing sometimes. I really don't think its for me.
Like i said up there, I think I'd prefer it if I didn't end up hating art in the end.
About it being plausable? I really just meant that History and English are a less competitive field than the media arts industry.
Okay I'll give you credit, your room is about as clusterfucked as mine (thanks for the vocab lesson). But you have TIGGER!! <3 Also, I spy some X-Men and D. Grayman there.
...Art Institute of Tampa, was it? That's...going off my list now.
As far as I know, this is the only art school you've ever been to, but do you think all art schools are competitive like that?
damn....my computer desk is neater. sorry but i've become a neat freak everywhere but my room bleh :S
i'm going into museum studies undergrad program at either UF or FSU once i can get the apps and stuff in. totally starting over with the whole college thing. but i'm not dropping my art, i can use it when i go into the museum studies history program and put it to good use there.
History is awesome an journalism is fun so far...(but hey photojournalism is my first Journ class lol) I'd suggest going to a career counselor if your school has one, or maybe you could find one at a high school or something? Ya anyway that's what made me decide English: Journalism over Chemistry and Pre-Pharmacy. While Pharmacist came up on one of the like three tests I took the top four were: Reporter, Attorney, Writer, and Editor.
That told me something heh. I really would love to be an Editor....
