That's the only good thing about art school...you have to draw all the time! Actually I feel unproductive this semester, but I guess as soon as I finish the five figural paintings that are due Monday...it'll seem like I got a lot done.
It's actually pencil on layers of frosted Mylar, which is that smooth thin plastic, semi-translucent. It's really lovely to draw on, and unlike paper, you can erase without leaving a trace of the graphite. Super nice! You should play with some.
Lots of interesting works here, but I like this one the best. Amusing how you kept the feet on the biped deer-women two-toed, to evoke hooves. Not to mention the foreground deer's antlers growing up as trunks; I'd missed that until a closer inspection. And on the four background figures supposed to be signing something with their hands? Gorgeous artwork overall, too.
Congratulations, you win a prize! No one else has commented on the signing--it says "I am so sorry," though that may be inaccurate since I'm treating both hands as though they're the right.
Actually, another meet-up with you would be nice. Hard to believe it's been two years since our first brief-but-fun get-together, and we've not seen each other since, even though you're just across the river from me (or two rivers, if you're in Brooklyn, but what's an extra river between friends?). I get to Manhattan all the time, so if you're up for it, say the word.
I too would love to see you sell some of your art, Lyf, assuming you *want* to sell it and not keep it for yourself. Have you ever had any public exhibitions of your work? I know I asked you that before, but that was ages ago, and I'm sure much has changed since then. It's great seeing what you've been up to lately, at least art-wise.

I forget about livejournal. I should be making a website very soon, as well.
