Oh god, today was one of the funniest days I have had in a while. I guess it comes at a good time seeing as how school is tomorrow and its going to suck the life out of any fun I ever thought I could have. But yeah.
Today was our first scrimmage and everything. so we get down to the school and get ready and we look out.. and theres one bus. One bus. There are 63 football players, but only one bus. So the lady (who just happened to be an awesome hippie) called her supervisors and was like "err.. roger roger. we have 63 football players here requesting entrance onto the bus. We may not have enough room, over!" With pads, its hard to fit two to a seat. Listen to what the guy says back. "err.. roger that. According to bus policy it is legal to fit three to a seat and up to 71 people in a bus at a time. tell them to make it happen." So 63 sweaty nasty guys all squish together onto a bus. The one thing they didn't think about.. is that we have a lot of fat people on our football team. So about a fourth of the way through the trip, we start hitting some hills and the bus starts beeping. "excuse me miss, whats that noise" "OH THATS JUST THE ENGINE OVER-HEATING. SOMETIMES IF I OPEN THIS VENT IT STOPS." WHAT?! and what if that doesn't work? So we keep driving and the beeping gets louder and gets faster. We thought we were going to die cause we are doing like 5 mph up these hills and we were slowing down. Luckily we hit the school right at that moment cause the bus might have exploded. Hilarious.
The game went fine if your wondering. I had a nice touchdown. I am not going to brag, but it was pretty sweet. One of the plays of the game, mike ulatowski had a snap go over his head. he turns around, runs to catch it, picks it up, turns around and just throws it into the endzone. It was the coolest play ever.. and out of no where, Nick debo comes up and catches it for a touchdown. Sweet. So much fun. On the way home we sang renditions of "I will survive". Amazing.
Tomorrow is the first day of school.. ugh, it starts again. In a couple of weeks I am sending in my papers to get my license because i heard they are really backed up. After that its just a matter of a count-down. Man, i am excited. Tomorrow = quiznos!
