America, the Meritocracy

Many people have already commented on the Inauguration of Barack H. Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America. Much has been said about his race, and the role that plays in history, our National politics, and the mood of the Citizenry. I read it and appreciate you optimism. I think that Obama is the first great orator that we've had in the Presidency in a long time, at least as long as I've been alive, and I hope that this talent lends itself to all aspects of his administration.

I think that your criticism of Bush is fair, that he never faced the social and economic obstacles, and it showed.
