My PC is Unhappy

Something happened to it last night while I slept. I'm not sure what. What I'm pretty sure is my PSU fan is rattling away like a fridge, and my framerates in L4D are the suck right now for no discernible reason. I checked that my HDs were still running DMA, my CPU is running at proper speed, there's no weird processes running in the background ( Read more... )

A little known fact: IE will lock itself up if it detects what could be malicious behavior from a website. It's a feature designed to keep viruses that hijack IE from auto-executing on your PC.

It looks like it's just broken, but it's actually doing something useful.

Heh - I was just about to mention how Julian helped rebuild/repair Garrett's computer. Then, I realized "Um, it's Paul - I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing". ;)

Yeah, I'll figure it out. It's just really annoying that it's suddenly loud and pokey.
