Harldy surprising, there was no way they could continue with him after these charges.

01 Mar 2005 Static-X have parted ways with guitarist Tripp Eisen, who is currently remanded in custody after being charged with aggravated sexual assault, child endangerment and kidnapping last week ( Read more... )

As you say, hardly surprising.

39 is quite an age though (relatively). I find it strange someone with the tendancies alleged hasn't been found out sooner? Perhaps the band knew and this was all the reason they needed?

Kind of lends a lot of credence to it being true, you'd think if it was obviously lies the band would hold out a bit before ditching him...ick :(
One of Dave's favourite guitarists too!

Given that he was caught in the car with the 14 year old after sexual intercourse is enough credence for truth though no? But yeah, the statement on their website of them kicking him makes it a lot more official and seriously cuts any speculation out of the way.

It must be quite a shock for them.

I didn't think he was a great guitarist but he was defiantely one of my favourite showmen on stage.

well yeah, but I meant more along the lines of the truth vs the newspapers....it's not exactly looking like there could be any justification for it now. Urgh the whole thing makes my skin crawl - it's so odd, especially the pretending to be an impersonator of yourself....eurgh.
Bad timing for the band too seeing as the new album is due out soon!

You know I didn't think anything of it at the time, but remember those couple of groupies who looked underage before the Murderdolls gig? They were backstage, but I can't remember if he was on that tour or not... just clicked I spose, sucks and all because like you say he is a good showman and well just sucks generally.

Half of that audience looked underage dude.

No he wasn't on tour with them, he never did play live with the Murderdolls, he was too busy recording Shadow Zone which is why he got Acey Slade to take over.

Was shocked when i heard about this the other day. such a shame. odd to be so disapointed in someone that youve never actually met.

Great band.

Comments about people backstage. Ive heard about and seen a fair few underager people ending up backstage at gigs for many bands. :/

Yeah I was too, I never met him nor can I make any comments upon his person on a general basis, but I thought he was a great showman on stage. An unfortunate blow to a great band.

Yeah so have I dude and I think with bands like that, the Murderdolls, other nu metal etc it's going to happen, doesn't mean you have to fuck them though. *sigh*

From reading the stories and the fact the band have dumped him so quick, kinda get the feeling more is going to turn up.

Be pretty intresting to see how the new album goes. if you go by the any publicity is good theory, it should sell loads.

Still you can never have any idea what goes through peoples minds.
