Dear God, you have to be fucking kidding me. The voice actor in the English dubbed version of Final Fantasy Advent Children for Sephiroth is Lance fucking Bass of N*Sync? The cast seems to be full of pop idol rejects, WHAT THE HELL? OK well now I no longer care about the English version of this release.

Pleeease....didn't you know that N'Suck is evil and has plotted for years to rule the earth and is using this as an "innocent" stepping stone to said takeover? ;) hahahaaaaaaa

Dubbed anime is never a good thing, regardless of who does the voice.

Having said that he may suprise you. Wassisface from NKOTB was a pretty mean cop in Saw2 and mister Bros was pretty good as the bad guy in Blade2...

then again it s N'sync we're talking about here ;)

Hey, it's *all* about the subs, dubbed things are nearly always bad I find :-/

wandered over by way of interlock's lj and, well, I may be surprised, but... Lance Bass? HAHAHHAHAHHAHAH. What a painful mental image that is. There is a possibility I'd have to make an exception to my no-dubbed-anime rule just for the car-wreck-curiousity value.

(I just got back from a long car trip, and I totally needed a good laugh, so thanks. *G*)

I just remember the shock of reading his name then looking at his profile picture to see this inane grinning twat on screen and was....well disappointed to make it an understatement.

Generally I don't like dubbed anime either as the out of synch mouthing annoys me, though from what I've read, SE were supposed to be reanimating the mouthing of words for a western release much like how a lot of the latest PC game titles do (Half Life 2 for example being reanimated for at least 8 languages so far) but I do wonder.

At the moment I'm just glad to have a subtitled version so as not to have to put up with that carcrash and having someone so painfully wrong playing the most evil character since the dawn of RPG gaming!
