It's been six hours

since I submitted my Dispatch manuscript to Cell. The fact that I just published hasn't sinked in yet. Why am I not jumping up and down? Why am I not at all excited to be a second author in one of the most prominent journals? I don't know. I had such a great time writing it with my advisor. You are too kind. The review isn't that big of a deal. It wasn't a research article. It was a commentary. When it comes to publication, 90% of the time is all about luck. I'll tell you why it's luck in a later post.
