Glad to hear the new manager is nice. Hopefully he'll make the last few weeks a bit more tolerable.
Hooray, Thom! I'm almost a bit scared to see what my last.fm weekly charts will look like when the system updates later on tonight. I must have listened to The Eraser a billion times this week. It didn't make much of an impression after the first three or four listens (much like the last few Radiohead albums), but then it hit me and I couldn't stop listening!
I wish I had cool neighbours like that. To the right of me, I've got my old high school vice principal (who's as uncool as they come) and to the left of me, I've got an RCMP officer. They wouldn't recognise Pros & Cons if the naked hitch-hiker herself hopped off and smacked them with her rucksack.
And hooray, Captain Nick Mason! If only goldfish could grow handlebar moustaches and wear dapper sailor hats.
I've only listened to The Eraser once so far, but I already really like it. The only problem is it seems way short for me! And since I'm working on a painting right now I like to put in music that lasts a while so I don't have to constantly change CDs. Puts a small damper on the artistic process.
Well, the cool neighbors are offsetting the not so cool neighbors. Right across from us is an apartment that's rented out to Mormon missionaries, so every few months or so we get a new installment of Mormons. They're always nice, but my mom and I are WAY non-religious, so we're just not into the Jesus pictures they have hanging in the window. The guy that lives below them is this creepy old guy that always has a scowl (think of your :( Roger Waters icon) and I've noticed him staring at us through his blinds which creeps me out. And then below us lives a cop.
Actually, my Pros and Cons shirt is one of these. Although I have one with the hitch-hiker on it...and uncensored at that!
Yep, it definitely is too short! I think he ran out of steam towards the end of the project. Either that, or this album was just a little morsel to tide the restless Radiohead fans over for a while. ;) Three years is too long to wait for a new album!
Do you have Kid A by Radiohead? I could upload that for you, if you're interested. Think of it as The Eraser with catchier songs, guitar, and real drums. ;) And it's certainly strange enough to inspire some artistic creations!
That mormon thing sounds a bit creepy. And the grumpy man. There's nothing more terrifying than grumpy old men, and I don't jut mean the awful movie of the same title.
That's an amazing shirt! If my father wasn't paranoid, I'd try to persuade him to let me buy it.
I love Kid A. You uploaded "How to Dissapear Completely" sometime back and I really liked that, so I got the album (used, no less!). I actually made a copy of it for my dad and got him interested in it, too.
Yeah, it's the most comfortable shirt ever. Vintage from the 80's, but brand new. I guess someone got ahold of all the unsold concert shirts. And with shipping it was only $13-something, which was a great price since most actual vintage shirts cost at least $20. I love eBay. :)
