Teaching?

So, the more I work on my dancing, the more I realize that I've got so much to work on, and so much to learn. And I look at my own dancing, and the fact that I'm teaching, and I think, "I have no business telling people that I know what I'm doing." I'm telling them to do things that I can't even do! i know no easy way to judge your effectiveness as a teacher, but i very much doubt that anyone will regret learning from you. Your personality alone guarantees it. :)

i also know that dancing with you improves me, so i'd suspect that a lesson from you would do the same.

Some thoughts:

Teaching is odd in that it's possible to teach more than you know...especially if you have enough humility to realize, and admit, when you don't know something. (and you do)

You're very good at teaching technique, but a lot of what you are communicating to students is enthusiasm and attitude. Aspiring dancers very much need to learn that, and frankly I don't know of anyone who teaches that better than you. (Well, maybe Frida, but I've only had classes with her that one time at Guilford. Still, that puts you in good company.)
