How long have you had your livejournal? 2 years
Why did you start your livejournal? To keep my friends updated on my life
What sort of benefits have you seen from using a livejournal? It gives me a place to vent all of my emotions as well as keep a daily (or so) account of my days
Drawbacks? What I may write while very emotional may not be how i feel after i calm down and others may read my thoughts and get angry or judge me
Why do you feel safe posting personal things about yourself on the internet? for the most part
Who do you most often allow to read your enteries? Usually my entries are there for anyone. There is a link in my AIM profile so anyone who may have my screen name will also have access to my journal. However some of my entries are kept friends only if the information is too personal.
What do you use your livejournal for? Usually just a play by play of my day

ive had lj since january senior year
i started it because it was a cool thing to do
it helps me get my thoughts out. i spend a lot of time on my computer and because of the way my day works out and when my roommate sleeps its not pragmatic to write in a paper journal
drawbacks = stalkerage and MAD drama
because i know they will be there whenever i want to look back on my life.
all of my entries are public.
i use it for therapy and to preserve my thoughts for posterity.

Why did you start your livejournal? Everyone else had it. Plus I wanted to read what people I knew were writing about. If my name was included for some reason.
What sort of benefits have you seen from using a livejournal? You get attention.
Drawbacks? It's usually not the attention you want.
Why do you feel safe posting personal things about yourself on the internet? My journal is usually friends only. But I try not to post things that are too personal.
Who do you most often allow to read your enteries? People that are interested. And that I have a general idea of who they are.
What do you use your livejournal for? To piss people off mostly. And in hopes that a boy that I love will stumble across it. That's the blatent truth.

How long have you had your livejournal? i've had a livejournal for almost 4 years, how sad.
Why did you start your livejournal? i randomly found someones livejournal and i was like "OMG KEWL" and then i made lonelyskachick and hated myself for it ever since.
What sort of benefits have you seen from using a livejournal? none
Drawbacks? it can create uncomfortable situations because everyone depends on the internet for everything so when actual interactions are made...it' so awkward
Why do you feel safe posting personal things about yourself on the internet? i don't post anything but pictures usually and that's not really personal. and when i did post lengthy entries, i can't say i got too much attention either...so i guess it's just because that's what you do with a journal...you write stuff. i don't think a lot of people grasp the idea that anyone can read your journal...friends only or not.
