:-)

Yeah Well uglyshela wasn't known to me and so I saw a few things in her application that concerned me enough to vote no. To her credit bratfink jumped in straight away and now that I've seen more of her I admit I was wrong, but I only had the application to go on whereas they were sipping margeuritas together and so had a much deeper understanding and knowledge of each other.

Hopefully she won't hold it against me.

It was interesting seeing the fit of pique from a young girl from Philly when she got rejected. A troll came on and announced that she was one of the most renowned goths in the world blah blah blah.... and then today Rosi applies who is the closest thing the gothic community has ever had to a super model. It's all relative and its all funny.

So how is everyone's favourite blond bombshell? What did she say when you mentioned we were in touch?

The GR community is silly sometimes... for the most part, I think it is a wonderful place and I love all the people that have joined up... but sometimes I get frustrated when we stray from what our bio says, when voting. I feel bad because sometimes members that I trust, such as yourself, vouch for someone... but that someone's app wasn't up to par in my opinion... how do I vote to this? Or all the yes votes to apps without pictures. ???

I'm glad to be part of it at any rate... I'm having a nice time. :)

I know what you mean. My comments to the application were pretty thinly veiled but there again, I can't just put a post up saying 'Vote this way cos I'm saying its alright'. If I'm honest I looked at the app and I think everyone voted the right way. If I hadn't spent some time getting to know Marie I would have done the same thing, and given the same comments. In the end you can't write the application for them, and there is always the point that other people may be right. I thought she would fit in, based on a very recent conversation, but that's not to say I couldn't be wrong.

I'm actually really enjoying the community as well although I wish there was more discussion compared to the amount of voting that goes on. I guess that will reach a critical mass though and we will spend less time voting and more discussing actual tihngs.

We cool, and no worries ;-)

this is my hope as well. although, in fairness, we do spend a lot more time discussing things than we did in earlier days. Some days are busier than others with member posts, *shrug*.

Since you posted this to your journal, I assume it's something most people would know about?

What did I miss here?

Its a spill over conversation Staxxy and I were having over on the gothroyalty forum. We were taking up space on someone's application which makes it harder for the moderators to count votes so we moved it over here. It won't make sense unless you read that part but there again, no real reason why it should interest you. I'm a friend of a friend of Staxxy's and haven't seen her in years, so I was wondering what the reaction was when Staxxy told her that we were LJ friends.

yup, what he said. This all about continued conversation from elsewhere. Seriously, just picking up the thread where it left off and going forward.

Good, cause the priest is still in therapy.

yeah, that's what I heard too. I also heard that his therapy involves shockwands and restraints... so it makes me wonder about how "healing" it could likely be...
