On shoes -

these (hope that URL works) are the ones I am in love with.

The ones you linked to a bit ago are also luuuuscious. The scalloped heels are just hot.

Good info! I have several pieces of my great-grandmother's rhinestone pins, and they need a few stones replaced. YAY!

It's certainly not your job to know this, but do they do any other kind of jewelry alteration or repair? I have a vintage rhinestone weasel brooch that I can't wear because the pin part doesn't hold up the weight of the brooch - the whole thing sags downward. It needs to have *something* done to it to make it wearable. Well, at least they might enjoy seeing the piece, if they love rhinestone jewelry so much!

Way back in the dark ages when Evaria was about 4 or 5, I was in charge of the Sears Sewing School, back before they discontinued it. One of my students was a lovely 70 year old lady named Jane, who had been a professional dancer back in the late 1920's and early 1930's. She ended up giving me a lot of her costumes and tons of rhinestone jewelry she'd worn on stage, and she used to take all her stuff to Rosie's for repair and cleaning. One of the many things that Jane taught me about that I'm ever so grateful for.

yeah, I am thrilled to have been turned onto them.

As it turns out, there was an article about them in Elle magazine recently.
