Presumably, our pups have lives that happen when we aren't playing them, as none of us can play 24/7. Some of the things that happen are tedious and everyday, and not worth thinking much on: It's fair to assume they eat, bathe, go to "work" or school as it applies, etc. But there might be things that happen between pups that, while not necessarily

I pretty much assume that Chuck and Sarah interact pretty much every day, even if it's only for a short conversation.

Yeah, this makes sense to me. She checks in with him regularly, to see how he's doing, and probably keeps an eye on him whenever they're in the same area but not directly interacting. Depending on how things are going, I assume she either makes excuses to talk longer or to run off quickly. XD

Beyond the obvious 'they see each other a lot', Ellie probably makes her food sometimes when she makes stuff for Chuck and Awesome - you know, a little something to run over. Because she hearts her. :3
