I like the Diane Von Furstenberg options for both the dress and the day suit thingy. I also like the Christian Lacroix with the cape. I like the Oscar De La Renta one too but I think it might be a little low cut for such an event.

I didn't really notice the neckline on the Oscar dress, I agree that it probably is a bit revealing. I'm not sure if I like all of the patriotic colors, it seems obvious for some reason. One of the things that caught me about Marc Jacobs dress was that it wasn't red, white, or blue. :)

I think that's why I like the DVF day suit thing, cuz it's yellow. I agree with you about the patriotism thing in general. The one with the cape could DEFINITELY lose the bag!

I like the Kai Milla (though I can't tell if it's strapless or not?) or the Isaac Mizrahi if it were more of a cocktail length. The full length voluminous skirt seems a bit much. I feel like strapless seems risqué for an inauguration, nawmean?

I'm not really an expert at inaugurations, but I did think a lot of these dresses, while gorgeous, WERE a bit much. Nothing would be worse than showing up dressed like you're ready to except an Oscar or something. I dunno, someone needs to blog about inauguration dress codes, baha.
