Imagine you have sun - earth - moon - mars, all lined up, in that order. That's what we've got right now. Not only does that mean it's a full moon, but it's also a "full mars". And it means mars is pretty much as close to the earth as it gets. AND ... it also means it's really easy to see mars... - it's the "star" that's quite near the moon, but
