Gym - Now who's running late?

ooc: i sort of assumed that no one would wake Soi up or kick her out, so sorry if that was too much liberty

Soi was late, as in she should have been at the Gym field 10 minutes ago late. The Professor woke up, uh, slightly confused, as she realized she wasn't exactly where she needed to be, and with a rather undignified clatter the said Professor ( Read more... )

"Yeah, I gotta question," a tall, leggy blonde standing near the back of the class called out. Jessie could not resist such an open invitation. One golden eyebrow raised mischievously as she asked, "Who's the lucky guy?"

The smartass couldn't resist teasing Soi for her disheveled appearance, her highly unusual tardiness, and especially her missing article of clothing. But Jessie rather liked Soi, and it was a good-natured tease rather than the more cutting remarks she would have saved for almost any of her other professors.

Soi flushed at the comment, her automatic response to any sort of questions in that category, but then the exact wording of the question hit her. She found a small loophole, and she was certainly planning on using it.

"There is no lucky guy," Soi said smoothly her words coming out sincere instead of fake. Her flush dissipated slightly as she started regaining her calm, but it remained as a light tint to her face. "Whatever makes you think that?" Again Soi should have known when to keep her mouth shut as she opened yet another chance for teasing, but apparently she learned some lessons painfully slow. Painfully slow...

"Them bright red cheeks, for one," Jessie playfully responded. She could have went on, but she didn't want to truly embarrass the one professor that she was on good terms with, the one professor who had always offered to help her out with learning more about her powers.

But another conversation did spring to mind...one where the tables were turned and Soi was embarrassing her with her words. A conversation over 'tea' in her room concerning girls liking other girls. "Mhmm," was all Jessie added to that one comeback, recalling perfectly well what Soi had previously confessed to her but not sharing that with the rest of the class.

Soi coughed as her slight pink tint became a bit darker as if it recognized the attention it was getting. A wry smile twisted on Soi's lips as she regarded Jessie with a nonthreatening glare, not really taht upst about the teasing. sher herself had teased Jessie a bit before so it was only fair...but the gesture froze slightly on her face as a different knowing look crossed Jessie's face. Soi had thought she had gotten away with her little loophole, but it seemed as if perhaps she didn't.

"You still don't know who," Soi said softly under her breath in a bit of a sing-sing as she passed the biker, "busy supervising" the pairings and activities. It was too quiet for the others to hear, but she knew Jessie had to have heard. Normally Soi wouldn't even dream of saying such a thing, but she felt more relaxed today, and simply said what she normally kept inside.
(read: she took the stick out of her...*winks*)
