Hino Rei sat at her desk this Tuesday evening, having most of it cleared away to make space for a small keyboard and several sheets of paper. In the otherwise silent and empty room, she sat there humming to herself, occasionally pressing a short series of keys with her left hand or jotting notes down onto paper with her right. At times she seemed frustrated, but in reality she enjoyed both creating and singing music. Very few people knew this fact, however, as she often refused to karaoke with even her friends, thinking music to be too special to sing so trivially.
Remembering the notable exception to that rule, she then glanced up at one of the few other items still remaining on her desk. It was a picture of her and her Mina-chan that was taken while the two girls went with some of their mutual friends for an afternoon of shopping. There were plenty of pictures taken that day of both Minako and Rei with other, random girls, but this one showed the two secret lovers sitting beside one another at the food court. It was no less casual than any of the other photos, but Rei kept this one out and framed it to remind her of her girlfriend when they were apart. Smiling again, Rei began to play the partial song that she was in the middle of creating.
Sometimes we feel~, we're all a-lone~
Like stars with-out~, a con-stel-la-tion.
But the gal-ax-y~ has spi~ral arms~,
That will bring~ you back~ to me...
A few more notes were played before the miko stopped in her musical tracks. "Someone is here," she whispered to herself. Her eyes widened as she then said "They're coming for me?" She immediately stood, rushing to the door. She opened it to find four young men now standing in the hallway, all dressed in suits and ties. The first was the youngest, and the only one that seemed even remotely friendly. Behind him was another man, a cold and stern look on his face. To either side were much larger guys wearing sunglasses, one bald and the other with a short, spikey crew cut.
Slightly startled that the door was answered before they had even knocked, the younger man up front began speaking for the group. "Konbanwa. I am Shoushi Ishida, your father's secretary. Hino-san requests your presence at a charity benefit in two days time." Thinking for a moment, he forgot that in New Hampshire it was Tuesday night instead of Wednesday morning, but decided not to correct his statement for crossing the International Date Line. They would all be in Japan shortly enough.
"Well, you can forget that!" Rei snapped at this suck-up politician. "I have no interest in letting him parade me around in public, just to try and get more votes out of people!" She was about to close the door in his face when the stern-faced man held it open with his arm, allowing the two bodyguards to enter. There were sounds of a brief struggle, but soon Hino Rei was being led out of her room, each of her slender and feminine wrists held firmly by an oversized hand of one of the powerful men to either side of her.
"What's the meaning of this," Rei cried out, more out of frustration than anger or fear or any other emotion she might have felt. "I don't...I don't want to go...", her voice said much more softly, as opposed to the previous lament that echoed through the stairwell. The guards paying her no attention, she simply hanged her head in defeat, willingly walking with them to keep from having to be dragged or picked up and carried. It would not be the first time her father pulled a stunt like this.
The young Shoushi-san followed the bodyguards down to the first floor. The second person silently stood at the top of the stairs, watching his companions escort the girl away. He then backtracked, stepping through the still open doorway to her room. An evil grin spread across his face as he began opening drawers and boxes, obviously looking for something.
[OOC: Open to pretty much anyone who has reason to be hanging around the dorms and either overhears what's going on, notices Rei's open door, or happens to catch a glimpse of her as she's escorted out of the building. Feel free to hop in anywhere, either upstairs or downstairs. The more the merrier!]
