When I was looking for a new apartment, I was really hoping to get a two bedroom. Sure, there's only one of me, but the more space the better. I can keep some extra crap in there and it'd come in handy if my brother ever wound up homeless. I was lucky enough to find a great two bedroom place at a really good price. I put my computer and turtle in ( Read more... )

I feel the same way about my rabbits. Scooter should have died 3 years ago but he's the immortal rabbit from the power plant. They just take up a lot of space now and they usually don't want to come out to play. But I feel bad giving them to a friend... though I have one who will take them.

You should give away the bunnies and then take my turtle!

I thought about it for a while and it's definitely better to get rid of her. I really have very little reason to keep her other than just because I've had her for a few years.Only problem is she's likely going to live another 20. And if I don't feel like taking care of her now, imagine how bad it'd be in 20 years!

I know so many good recipes for cooking rabbits but none for turtles. Swap the turtle for some bunnies. Then, head over to my house Saturday afternoon with the wabbits, a large caserole dish, and a good apetite.

My name is Mike Lambert...I solve problems.

I could probably get a turtle soup record. Some family friends used to make it all the time. But they used to use giant snapping turtles. I don't know if Puck has enough meat

Yeah, it's a bit of a shock for a turtle who's been a pet to suddenly find itself needing to fight predators and find its own food...

But, yeah, I totally understand what you mean. After years of having 3-5 turtles at any given time, I don't anymore. It's just a lot of work.

I've heard it's also bad the other way around. The turtle will introduce different kinds of baceteria to the lake.

So you don't have your turtles anymore? How'd you end up getting rid of them?
