painting

I meant to post this much sooner, but I forgot. Under the cut is my first ever oil painting. I did it for Jennifer Michelles bday. Like i said, first ever, so be nice. I think it turned out rather well. But i think im going to deal mainly in acrylics from now on. I love love LOVE oil paintings, but goddamn, painting with oil is a whole other story

thanks, like i said, it was my first oil painting and i was fairly pressed for time. ive found out since then that i do much much better with either just plain graphite or acrylics.

Extremely not bad. I'm more of a pencil man and could never pull off something like that.

thanks! i rather did like it. but im like you, i do much better with pencils and pens. we are traditionalists!

Seeing as how much I suck at oil painting (tried it once and I got nothing close to yours) this is pretty damn good. :)

aww thanks. oil paints are a fucking bitch though. this fucker took me weeks (more like a month) because they took so long to dry and i kept fucking up.

The characters are from a comic book called johnny the homicidal maniac. if youve never read it, its really really good. you should pick it up if you get the chance.

i still wish i would have fixed a few little things on it. but im so happy you like it. and i can say that i have a painting hanging up in someones home that isnt my own!
