I have always been a fan of the speed racer anime since i was a kid, but i was hesitant to see the movie for fear it would be ruined for me. Last night i watched it. holy shit, i really regret not seeing it in the theater. i think that may be the best movie ive seen all year. anyone who hasnt seen it yet, should. now.

Yea, not like Barbarella without the sex at all! I bet the movie had an almost visceral effect on people in the theater.

I know, i really liked it. I can see myself just putting on the dvd randomly years down the road. But you are right, that was the perfect way to make a live action anime. here's to hoping that dragonball z and whatever other anime's they decide to make, will turn out as well.

This was the the first thing i have seen him in, i think. he was great. i will definitely be watching for his other stuff now.

i am sooo glad to hear we dont have to endure a white Piccolo through the movie. Its good to know that it is doing ok in pre-screening though. I really hope it doesnt disappoint. It was my first anime. XD

Yea, i can understand that. It was a lot to take in. Now that you mention it, it did seem kinda like Trixie was his sister. lol.
