AN: Being the further adventures of Becker and Connor in Regency times. Becker and Connor finally go on their hot air balloon date.
The balloon lifted quickly and smoothly leaving Hyde Park and its spectators behind. Forcross and Shaw, the balloon men, retreated to the far side of the basket, natural discretion having been helped by a hefty bribe from Becker.
Connor leaned over and stared at the sprawling city below.
“Like a brick jungle,” said Becker slipping his arms around Connor and pulling him back.
Connor started in surprise and spun round still in Becker’s embrace.
“Like India? Where the cotton comes from?” he asked. “Would you take me?”
Becker leaned in until their lips almost touched. “There too. If you wanted.”
