Nick didn’t bother to hide his impatience as the student gabbled inanely about internet conspiracies and prehistoric creature sightings. It didn’t help that his unwelcome visitor was wearing several sets of clothing and a hat that was probably intended to look rakish but succeeded only in adding to the general air of over-enthusiastic incompetence.
“Not now,” said Nick as the babbling continued, “I’m busy.” He took a firm grip on the student’s shoulder and propelled him out of the office.
“Personal tutor transfer needed?” asked his research assistant, Stephen Hart, as the door closed.
Nick winced, “The sooner the better.”
