I was just watching this show about bob dylan, about when he first started playing with electric guitar and drums at folk concerts, how people were booing and hated it. but bob sort of knew that playing rock and roll was a risk worth taking. he said, "The booing didn't bother me... I had a perspective on the booing. Because you've got to realize you can kill somebody with kindness, too."
i dont quite know why, but that situation and his remark reminded me of what you said here, perhaps that everyone is happy with the path you're on, everyone else is satisfied except you. and your desire to decide on risking failure or success by yourself. you seem as restless as he was, as determined to decide your own future.
maybe this is completely off the wall, and you wont quite understand the link, but i thought it worth saying anyway.
p.s. ive been downloading psyche origami... fantastic. and i have boards of canada, dredg, tunnels... so much odd but awesome music to play for you. :)
