The Rescue, by Nicholas Sparks is about uhh.. This volunteer fireman, who's willing to risk everything to rescue other's lives. But during a storm, he discovers this woman who's just had a car crash. And later on he learns that her "ADD" son, is missing from the car. So he sets out to find the little boy, along with a search party, in the middle of the storm. And what he doesn't know is that, he isn't only risking his life, but he's about to take a chance. A chance he's never taken in his life. The chance to fall in love.

It's pretty good, but if your the type that doesn't like those stories that reviewers say "It's a heartbreaking story, that'll leave you in tears", and what not . then don't read it.
