About You - The Player
Name: Christina
Age: 33
Contact: lollobrigida@gmail.com
Past Role Playing Experience: I’ve been RPing for a long time and I’m in BtR and a few other games. Currently in BtR I have Jane Rizzoli and Caroline Forbes

The Character
Name: Anna
Age/Birthdate: Since Creation... She’s old, like, lived for at least two-thousand years old. Though the vessel that she took has a DOB of 4/13/1985 (or December... depending on if you go with her patient file or what Sam said about her grace landing) and her canon point makes her 22-23.
Species: Angel in a Human Vessel
*Type: Wanderer
Canon: Supernatural
*Pre-existing powers:
I am going to list her powers and what state they will be in Chicago, as a result of not only her canon point, but the Rift transfer itself.

Telekinesis - 50% - This ability was mostly reduced in the amount of weight she can move. She can move anything smaller than a car.
Clairvoyance - 50% - She can see the true face of a demon, but this only works half the time and will be on a player by player level. If someone doesn’t want her to see it, then she can’t see it.
Precognition - 0% (the wiki for her lists this, however, I believe this was more of the voices from the angels talking about what was going to happen vs her seeing the future and even as an angel I think she’d need an entire garrison to predict the future on any level)
Clairsentience - 50% - She can sense others making an approach - but again - this is by a player by player level. The only exception would be angels from her own canon, since that seems like a natural instinct more than anything else.
Clairaudience - 25% - Only will work with angels from her own canon, unless for plot purposes she needs to tap into the ones in Chicago.
Magical Knowledge - 100% - this is not related to her grace/powers at all and is just a random thing she knows from years of watching over the Earth.
Enhanced Strength - 50% - She can pick up a Winchester and throw them across a room. She cannot pick up an Impala and find it a new parking space.
Extreme Endurance - 50% - She can withstand heavy blows from another person, even a person wielding an object. She cannot withstand being hit by a car.
Quick Healing - 50% - Minor cuts/scrapes will heal in 6 hours. Major gashes and lacerations will heal in 12 hours. Punctures, stab wounds, and general impalement will take 48 hours to heal and she will scar. Anything beyond this will be determined at the time the injury is written out.
Telepathy - 25% - She can only hear something someone is thinking if they want her to hear. It’s more like opening a channel vs invading inner thoughts.
Teleportation - 50% - She can teleport within the Chicago city limits, but that’s it. Nothing further.
Time Travel - 25% - This... will only work 25% of the time and honestly, it’ll probably never come up in game - but it is an option and would probably be only used for going back within a 24 - 72 hour time period. Basically, it’s here for plot purposes if it should ever come up, but any time that Anna tries to use it otherwise, it just won’t work at all.
Exorcism - 75% - This means that her ability is at 75% power, but it still won’t be as effective as it is meant to be and won’t be as reliable as it once was.
Angelic Possession - 0% - she’s stuck the way she is and in the body she’s in.

*Rift Change, if applicable: Transmography. Anna will be turning into a Tinkerbell sized Fairy when she becomes agitated or stressed. This will become extremely apparent when she becomes determined to make her point be seen.

Appearance: Anna is a slender female with bright red hair that runs to beyond her shoulders. She has a heart-shaped face that allows for her eyes to seem much more ethereal and open. They are hazel in color and are very expressive. While she is slender in her frame, she still has wider hips that allow her body to have curves, but a small bust so as to not be too voluptuous. In her true angelic form, she’s possibly taller than a skyscraper and a pure white light. However, she won’t really be needing to take that form - plus it kind of burns people’s eyes out.

Her canon point is going to be middle of re-gracing, so I’m having her keep her old form, the Julie McNiven one, and it’s also cutting her grace in half - to prevent too much of the God-Moddy super powers.

With her Rift Change she’ll be changing physical form so that she’ll be about four and a half inches tall. She’ll be nude, but mostly bright light - so there won’t be any dirty parts that show. However, when she turns back out of that tiny size, she’ll still be nude. Basically, I like to think of it as her frustration level peaking to the point of her grace just shooting from her into this tiny pixie sized girl.

Personality:

Anna is stoic in her presence. It’s a very precise manner in which she speaks and addresses people. No doubt from countless years spent as an angel trying to instill the correct way of living and to honor and respect everyone around her. Even as a human, she had a very light tone to her words and the way she spoke. Not to say she was pulling anything from the Neve Campbell School of Acting, but it did make her words feel as though they held more weight to them, purely by the way she carried them out.

However, on the other end of the spectrum there are three distinct parts of her personality. There is the remnants of a soldier left on Earth to simply observe in silence, there’s the human that was raised by loving parents who in turn became institutionalized when she began hearing voices, and there is the reborn angel that sought to regain what she had lost -- not for herself, but for others.

As an angel, Anna spent two-thousand years on Earth, watching and waiting for an order she never knew would come. She learned patience, obedience, and loyalty. She learned that it was okay to not see something in order to find true faith within it and she learned that her Father was a merciful one. However, she only learned of his mercy by watching the humans that had been given Earth. It was in the time she spent watching them that she grew more self-aware. She saw the things that she was missing out on, the way people cared about each other, the passion they could have when they were in love or upset with something or someone. She embraced how different they could be, how their opinions could form them in completely different ways. She saw the risks they took and how even when they failed and faltered, that under her Father’s watchful eye, they would still be forgiven if they realized that they had done wrong.

It was in what she saw of the humans she watched over that made her aspire to become one. She wanted those experiences, those emotions and maybe it was a selfish act, but it was something that she wanted for herself. It was possibly the first thing she did for herself and it would lead to her enjoying what Free Will and an actual life of her own could bring her. Anna opted to fall from grace, by tearing out her grace and falling to Earth. She was given a new life, in the form of an infant child and was raised by two loving parents.

Though her “adoptive” parents had a huge road ahead of them. Once Anna was able to speak, she was terrified of her father, convinced that he was not her real dad. Her parents took her to a child psychologist and over time, her memories of being an angel faded more and more away until they were just a part of her that was locked away.

She had exactly what she had always wanted. Parents who loved her, the ability to live the life she wanted, choosing her own path, and making mistakes that she’d learn from. Her outlook on life was that it was something to be cherished and enjoyed - even when it wasn’t the best thing.

Everything changed when Dean was pulled from Hell. Not only did it shift the balance of the world itself, but it opened channels that previously had been shut down. Anna, though she didn’t remember her past life as an angel, still had a connection to the angels and when they started to talk to each other, she picked up on all of it. It was enough to make her turn in on herself and become someone quite broken and confused. She believed without a doubt that she was hearing these things, but most people that would see her and listen to her story had to believe she was having a mental breakdown. She was locked up in an institution and given plenty of therapy in hopes of finding the girl that Anna had once been. However, her determination that these things were real and the actual voices she was hearing was too much to just ignore.

She focuses on the voices and the message they have to say and tries to relay the information, but in a mental ward, it doesn’t go very far. Eventually, her “delusions” get the attention of the angels and the demons that are struggling for an upper hand. She is, in one nice package, the upper hand that they have been waiting for.

She trusts Sam and Dean easily, partially because of her state of mind and the other because they are the subjects of most of the conversations going on in her head. Even with that trust, she’s guarded and used to being told that she’s insane.

Now, a lot of this shifted when she met with Pamela, a psychic, who helped unlock her past life memories that were trapped away in her subconscious. Within one session with Pamela, Anna went from being a scattered, frightened girl who was unsure of herself and what she was doing with her life to that of an angel that had made the ultimate sacrifice in order to have a life she wanted and could have control over.

This brings her to the realization that she has to make another sacrifice so that she can take her rightful place within the war that is currently being prepared. She’s noble and gives off an air that requires respect. She’s patient and forgiving, because she understands how complicated humans can be - not only because she is one, but because she had watched over them for two-thousand years. She’s seen their struggles and their inner battles and she knows what it is like for them to try and fail, but still get up again. She’s full of determination and drive to do what she knows is right -- even if it means giving up everything she’s wanted out of her own life.

She speaks with an even tone that encompasses understanding and strength. She loves with her entire being, because she understands not only how important it is to love someone else, but how vital it is to be loved. She gives of herself and her surroundings easily, making sacrifices to ensure that those she cares about are protected. She commands all the respect of an angel, but has no tolerance for anyone that can’t honor the humans that angels are meant to watch over.

In a certain way, she’s the best of both worlds.

Until she gets sent back to heaven, retrained with the goals of the new angels in charge, and sent back on a revenge seeking mission to right the wrongs that happened in bringing Sam Winchester into the world. BUT... I’m taking her from before all of this happens, so I didn’t think it was relevant to explore her drastic 180, when I would never be touching that side of her history. Ever.

Events:

The first event that is important to Anna and who she is would be her initial choice to rip her grace out and fall to Earth. She came to this choice after watching the humans for 2000 years and in doing so she not only removed everything about herself that made her unique and powerful, but it forced her to start her life over from the start. It put her into an unfamiliar setting with nothing to support her except the love and guidance of two complete strangers (her parents). It put her on the path of what she viewed as a vengeful father who would kill her for making such a choice. This choice made her also have to go through an ordeal and a half with child psychologists, years of therapy, and possibly more - just to “fix” who she was on the inside. There are countless identity issues tangled in there as well, but she wanted this - she knew it would be difficult and she pushed through until she had what she wanted. It’s also said that removing your grace is exceptionally painful and the fall to Earth couldn’t have been fun either.

The second event that makes Anna who she is would be her choice to give up her humanity and reclaim her grace. It’s her choice to give up everything she fought so hard for just to help save the world she gave it up for. She’s lived as a human, actually lived and experienced a lot of the things that angels would never have been able to go through. Not only does Anna see the act of reclaiming her grace as the only choice she has left, but it’s one that she’s willing to make. She doesn’t fight it, doesn’t doubt it or try to think of a different thing to do. She just sees the way things seem to be happening and realizes that this is what she has to do. It’s nearly a selfless act and one she doesn’t look back on with any hint of regret. Yes, she probably would’ve preferred to never have the voices perk up in her head, or the whole war start, but now that it’s going on, she knows where she has to be and what help she can be. The other thing to consider is the great risk she puts herself at in reclaiming her grace. If tearing it out put her on the warpath of her “Father” then putting it back in her, will no doubt put a huge target on her back. If he is indeed a vengeful Father.

Writing Sample:

It feels as though the wind was knocked out of her. Her body presses to the cold asphalt, unsure of why she’s here. Why she’s out in the open. Coughing, she attempts to get that first breath back into her lungs. Everything aches. Her palms aren’t red from a fall, there’s no real evidence that she’d been dropped off here, but she can’t help but feel like she’s been left behind.

The cough rattles her body, the ache growing more constant as she tries to figure out what happened. Anna sits up straighter, feeling the cold of the street slowly start to seep into her skin through the denim covering her legs. She’d just been in that barn. It had been... it had been harrowing and Uriel -- she nearly winces at the thought of the betrayal -- Uriel had stolen her grace. Kept it for himself.

Then she’d claimed it back. Exhaling, she knows that explains the pain, the dull ache. Of course, it doesn’t explain where she is or how she got there. Her grace had been returning to her and then she was on the street. Maybe something had gone wrong, she wonders. Maybe -- maybe something had gone right.

The thought that her Father had sent her away already, so soon, so suddenly - it’s as unsettling a thought as the one that he might try to kill her for what she had done. Rising to her feet, she purses her lips as she exhales another slow breath. It’s taken a lot from her to reclaim her grace, to do it so suddenly, in the midst of all of that. It’s no wonder she feels like she had been hit by a Mack truck.

Closing her eyes, she calls to Castiel, trying to reach out - to just touch upon him. She knows he’s here, she can feel him, but she’s just not sure where he is. This place is wrong and she knows it.

Clenching her jaw, her fists settle at her side as she tries to locate him once more. It’s difficult, hazy almost, and it begins to feel as though just the search for him is going to weaken her further. Rather than press onward, she takes a seat on a nearby bench and waits.

He’ll know she’s here just as easily as she knows he’s here.
