broken arm has healed well enough that Doc authorized me to lift again. It’s been three and a half long months.
I started this morning with just a pair of four pound dumbbells. I was excited and apprehensive; I had no idea what was about to happen.
My friends were glad to see me back. I’ve been coming in at night to swim and stair-master, but I missed my morning friends. I even received hugs this morning. I love hugs.
When lifting I could feel some pain, mostly in my right hand, right wrist, and right forearm. The minor pain cleared with no muscle burn as soon as I put the weight down. I slept soundly, thinking I might hit the gym again tonight before work. I’m glad I didn’t: my right hand and wrist are quite sore this evening. I’ve decided to take a 48 hour lifting break, just as if I were lifting normally. Tomorrow night I’ll do some cardio and swimming, and then pump iron again Thursday morning.
