There's this horrible downside to poker. It's called an inflated ego. I've been running the homegames for all they're worth and the second I sit down at an online poker room, I fall to pieces. Perhaps I can get my boyfriend to teach you a thing or two about poker; he always wins when he plays with his friends. Then again, my boyfriend is very competitive and good at analyzing situations like that. Sometimes I wish he could apply this to matters of the heart, but alas.

We almost went to see Stardust yesterday. I'm not completely sure what the movie is about and am not sold on it. The last "adult" fairy tale that I saw, Pan's Labyrinth, turned out to be a disappointing and lackluster mess so we skipped Stardust. We had fried chicken instead. Because cholesterol's number one stunna never disappoints.

"always wins" is difficult to do in poker, unless he cheats. There's always a chance that the one card that changes everything, even if its the one card out of the deck, falls. If he plays that much, he's bound to run into a bad beat. Anyway, Stardust, people that have read Gaiman's work will want to watch it. Didn't read Stardust but I do enjoy many of his books. I'm in, naturally. I'll just pretend I didn't read that Pan's Labyrinth comment.

Always wins is a gross exaggeration, of course; it's more like 8/10 times he comes out with the biggest pot, but sometimes he will crash and burn. He doesn't cheat, he's just very good with logistics and computing chance and analyzing situations that would be conducive to successful bluffing.

Phillip mentioned that he wanted to see it after I told him that I almost saw it and that you couldn't find anyone to see it with. He said he would call you.
